Canada has always been considered a financially stable economy in the worldwide marketplace. So it should come as no surprise when Toronto was named Canada’s most powerful financial centre in Canada in 2017. But what was more exciting to see was that Toronto was named the 2nd in all of North America, and 7th overall in the world.
These results are courtesy of Z/Yen, a commercial think-tank based out of London, whom conduct market research and intelligence. Their analysis was released in their 2017 Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI) report. Many factors were taken into consideration for these results, but the main instrumental factors were human capital, business environment, financial sector development, infrastructure, and reputation/general factors.
This data provides proof positive as to why so many professionals from around the world are selecting Toronto for a relocation. Not only is Toronto financially stable, it is also considered one of the most liveable cities in the world (see our prior post on this).
